Here's a few video clips from a battle with a bruiser redfish this past week that was sight casted to with a 3" DOA paddle tail in the rainbow trout color on a Daiwa 7' TD Sol MH rod paired with a Daiwa SOL MQ3000D-H reel. We were slowly moving along the shoreline when I saw two decent sized reds drifting through a school of mullet. This fish ate my artificial offering as soon as I dropped it in front of them. We had been talking about fishing together for a long time and our schedules finally aligned. We were treated to a beautiful day on the water and lots of hungry fish. Luke is one of the happiest, kindest, & most loving people that I know. He calls me "uncle my David"', which I adore. Luke loves heavy metal and his favorite band is Five Finger Death Punch, who he just got to meet back stage this past weekend in Tampa. He told me that fishing with me was the second best experience of his life next to meeting the band members of Five Finger Death Punch. I am honored to be #2 on his list. Rock on, Luke! It was his first time on the east coast of Florida and he booked a solo offshore fishing trip. The weather and sea conditions were favorable for offshore fishing. He managed to catch a nice mahi and after many lost battles he finally landed a solid red snapper at the end of the trip.
